Dear DR Wiseass
It is nice to find a kindred spirit, I was clinically diagnosed with Lyme by two Lym Literate MD'S. Both of these Doctors and their husbands have had Lyme. I am waiting for the results of my Igenex tets. The four or five Western Blots I've had were negative. However all my symptoms and my immune system profile indicate Lyme.
I believe I contracted Lyme in summer of 2004. I started working at a State Park in New Jersey then. When I first started working there I would hear stories from park rangers and others who contracted Lyme.
After seeing Neurologosts, Neurosurgeons, rheumatologists, Orhinolaryngologists (?), many MRI'S, Scans and other tests I had basically given up although I kept suspecting Lyme but mostly had doctors who rolled their eyes at me.
I finally went to a Lyme support group at a local hospital. I then received a list of Lyme Literate MD's. One was an MD/Pyschiatrist who started my testing and treatment and the other is known nationwide for treating Lyme.
Anyway, I could write about Lyme and my Lyme experience forever and will in the future. I hope that I remember how to get to this area gain. The short term memory thing!
